Encoder settings are linked to the Audio Output section of the main window. Changing the settings there will change the settings here and visa versa.

Click any format name and press the Insert key on your keyboard to register a new file format extension.

Decoder {drop-down list}
Greyed out if unsupported. Default decoder for selected audio file format extension. If registering a new format, you must also register or select an external decoder on the Decoders tab then select the new file format extension before it will appear in the drop-down list.
Lossless encoder {drop-down list}
Greyed out if unsupported. Default lossless encoder for selected audio file format extension. If registering a new format, you must also register or select an external encoder on the Encoders tab then select the new file format extension before it will appear in the drop-down list.
Lossy encoder {drop-down list}
Greyed out if unsupported. Default lossy encoder for selected audio file format extension. If registering a new format, you must also register or select an external encoder on the Encoders tab then select the new file format extension before it will appear in the drop-down list.
Tagger {drop-down list}
Greyed out unless you're registering a new file format extension. Select tagger to be used by the new format.


Supports lossless encoding {checkbox}
Greyed out unless you're registering a new file format extension. Check if the new format supports lossless encoding.
Supports lossy encoding {checkbox}
Greyed out unless you're registering a new file format extension. Check if the new format supports lossy encoding.
Supports embedded CUE Sheets {checkbox}
Greyed out unless you're registering a new file format extension. Check if the new format supports embedded CUE Sheets.
